My name is Emily Longhurst

I’m a Norfolk artist working from my garden studio in Reepham and running Gallery 10, a vibrant gallery showing the work of over 50 Norfolk artist and makers, at Alby Crafts and Gardens. 

I work mostly in acrylics when painting my unique sailboat designs. I take inspiration from the beautiful Norfolk countryside and coastline, where I spend lots of time walking my two dogs, beach combing and collecting ideas through my camera lens. I then take these impressions of the landscape and consider the patterns and play of light in the sky and on the water into my paintings, creating familiar coastal scenes. With my sailboats, I take a more playful and imaginative approach in my painting creating vibrant and stylised designs. Please take a look at my gallery pages to see examples of my work.
